Lab Equipment

Measuring Cylinder - Used to measure the volume of a liquid in milliliters.

Clamp - Used to secure test tube, distillation column and burets to the ring stand.

Eye dropper - suck up liquid that can then be squeezed out in small drops. These can be used to add an indicator to a solution about to be titrated.

Funnel-makes pouring easier.

Test tube-for holding, mixing and heating small amounts of liquids and solids.

Beaker-for holding and pouring liquids.

Erlenmeyer  flask -for holding, mixing and heating liquids.

Evaporating dish-for evaporating liquid mixtures.

Heat Shield-Use to cover the fire and spread the heat.

Specimen cup-Used for collection, transportation and storage wide variety of specimen.

Spatula-for moving solid chemicals.

Watch glass-to hold a solid while being weighed or to cover a beaker.

Geometric Construction

The thing that easy is when you use a compass, you just open it then round it to the point cut it to a point. The hard thing is when you do a bisector because you have to make it in the middle of the angle. But perpendicular bisector is easy because you make a right angle then cut it by a compass.  The parallel line is easy because you only need a ruler. A congruent line is hard because you must make 4 angles equal. The segment is very easy because it is a part of the line. Perpendicular is the easiest because you just made it be a right angle.

Approximation and Guessing_Napat Techayouenyong_101_No.20 (Patrick)

Approximation and Guessing

Problem: Mr.Gary is making a map of the campus, but he can't find any ruler. He needs to get the dimension length and width.

Procedure:
1. Tell me, how you come up with your measurement.

  • The first round, We use our arm width to measure the room. However, there are some remaining at the end so, we use our hand to measure it.
  • The second time, We use the charger cable to measure the room. The reason why we use it because the length of charger cable is longer than our arm width.
2. Make a table
